10 December 2013
Walbrook PR has been appointed by Arria NLG Plc ("Arria"), a leader in the development and deployment of Natural Language Generation ("NLG") technologies, to manage communications with the financial media, research analysts and investors surrounding its Admission to AIM announced Thursday 5th December 2013. The account is being led by Walbrook's Head of Technology Sector, Bob Huxford.
Arria is a UK headquartered software development business. Its core product, the Arria NLG Engine, is able to analyse large and complex data sets and report on the content and consequences of this data in natural language, i.e. accurately emulating the authoring skills of humans.
Arria's technology is founded on over 30 years of research at Aberdeen University, a leading institution in the field of Natural Language Generation. The increasing growth in 'Big Data' in recent years has led to the significant expansion of Arria's target markets, hence the current commercialisation of the software. Arria's target is to be the global leader in the development and deployment of mission critical, core industrial, enterprise level NLG software technologies.
Arria NLG is a UK public company and was admitted to trading on AIM (ticker: NLG) on 5 December 2013. The Company has joined AIM in order to raise its profile and support the development of the Arria NLG brand internationally, give access to equity capital as needed, facilitate the recruitment of high calibre employees and provide liquidity in the Company's shares.
Prior to listing on AIM, Arria had already engaged in three successful rounds of private fundraising securing US$40 million of capital and as a result had a wide shareholder base of over 200 investors. Since listing last Thursday the share price is already over 75% from 100p to over 177.5p.
Paul McManus, Managing Director of Walbrook PR commented: "Arria's leading Natural Language Generation technology is extremely exciting, possessing a huge array of potential applications. Already deployed within an oil and gas major and in use at the Met Office, we believe a significant number of further opportunities should arise for Arria as the exponential growth in Big Data drives demand for the Company's offerings. We are therefore delighted to be working with Arria in helping to build its profile such that it is best placed to meet these opportunities."
