Astar Minerals plc (AIM: ASTA) – formerly Pan Pacific Aggregates Ltd– the British Columbia based aggregates company, has appointed Walbrook PR Ltd as its Financial PR advisor. Walbrook will advise Astar Minerals on its communications with the financial media, research analysts and other small cap investor groups in London and the regions.

Astar Minerals was incorporated in BC, Canada in 2004 to develop, manage, mine and market a substantial potential resource of industrial minerals, performance minerals and construction aggregates on the Sechelt Peninsula. The Company's Quadling Quarry was opened in spring of 2010, located close to the cities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack, in the Fraser Valley Regional District. Producing a wide range of quality crushed rock, PPA supplies crushed aggregate materials to local contractors, developers, the agricultural industry and private home owners throughout the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver area.

In January of this year, Lynda Chase-Gardener became Executive Chairman bringing with her over 20 years of experience of quarrying and landfill operations and an in-depth knowledge of the aggregates market. Lynda was formally Managing Director of her family quarry and landfill operation until its sale in 2007.
